Program details

Started in 1277 by Giovanni di Simone, the Monumental Cemetery is the historic cemetery of the Cathedral of Pisa, which closes off the north side of Piazza del Duomo.
It’s not just a cemetery but a real open-air museum, ornate by marvelous frescoes, such as those of the cycle on the theme of Life and Death by Buonamico Buffalmacco, and numerous illustrious burials, such as the famous Leonardo Pisano known as Il Fibonacci, one of the greatest mathematicians of all the time.

Depart at 6 p.m. for the 1-hour guided tour with a licensed tour guide ready to share his knowledge and passion for this marvelous behemoth of the Piazza dei Miracoli.

The visit will have the same place of departure and arrival at:
Infopoint Turistico di Pisa Turismo - Duomo
Piazza del Duomo, 7 - 56126 Pisa PI

Please, show up at the meeting point 10 minutes before the start of the visit.
