Program details
After breakfast in the hotel where you will stay, a day dedicated to the discovery of some jewels of the Monti Pisani until you get to Pisa and its iconic Leaning Tower.
From Pontedera you will leave in the direction of San Miniato (22.4 Km), a city that during the domination of Frederick II became the seat of the imperial vicar in Tuscany, so that in the Middle Ages it was called "San Miniato al Tedesco". You will have the opportunity to visit this jewel, now recognized as an important city of art, a place of excellence for the processing of leather and white truffle, which every year is the protagonist of the National Exhibition.
You will continue your tour on two wheels of about 50 km towards Pisa, crossing some of the typical villages of the Monti Pisani.
Passing through Santa Maria a Monte, a characteristic spiral-shaped village, you will cross the Rocca del Brunelleschi and the tower houses of the medieval village of Vicopisano.
To follow Uliveto Terme and Calci, famous for its wonderful Certosa and immersed in a unique environmental context, a kind of natural basin with terraced slopes by man and cultivated with olive trees, from which is obtained a fine extra virgin olive oil.
You will arrive in Pisa for lunch time, where an exceptional lunch awaits you in one of the city’s restaurants, where modernity and culinary tradition go hand in hand, able to make your palate experience unique sensations.
In the afternoon you can visit the city with our tour guide, who will show you the sensational Mural by Keith Haring and will reveal some secrets and hidden corners that only the city of Pisa can offer.
The indicated departure time, and those relating to the whole day, are based with departure from Pontedera, therefore they are subject to changes depending on the location of the accommodation.
You can change the itinerary to your liking; we only ask you to respect the time for lunch in the restaurant, at which you can show up from 12:30 until 13:30.
