Program

Day 1:
Arrival in Pisa by your own means on the occasion of the Pisan New Year, a religious festival that has also become a historical reenactment over the years, celebrated on March 25.
With this occasion you will have a chance to experience Pisa from a completely different aspect, witnessing truly unique parades and events.
The festivities begin on the evening of March 24, and just like New Year's Eve, the classic one on December 31, dinners are organized
From 2 p.m. it will be possible to check in. You will have the afternoon at your disposal to enjoy the city adorned with decorations and banners, and then head to a restaurant for dinner. This will be followed by an overnight stay.

Day 2:
1 to the end of the year!
After breakfast at the hotel you will meet your tour guide, who will show you the historic center of Pisa. You will start from the Ponte di Mezzo in the direction of Borgo stretto, where you may see Casa Ammannati, the birthplace of Galileo Galilei. Continuing along Via dei Mille you will reach Piazza dei Cavalieri, to admire the Palazzo della Carovana, home of the Scuola Normale Superiore, the characteristic Palazzo dell'Orologio composed of the union of the Torre delle Sette Vie and the Torre della Muda, the latter also known as the "Tower of Hunger" because Count Ugolino della Gherardesca was imprisoned there accused of treason along with his sons and grandsons, and the 16th-century Church of the Knights of Santo Stefano.
You will continue until you reach the Piazza dei Miracoli characterized by the grandeur of the Baptistery, the Cathedral and the Bell Tower, known as the Leaning Tower.
Free lunch and afternoon at leisure to enjoy the New Year atmosphere.
Dinner at a restaurant, return to hotel and overnight stay.

Day 3:
It's March 25, happy New Year!
Breakfast at the hotel and off to the festivities. Starting at 11:30 a.m., the celebration of prayers for Pisa will take place.
Then the usual crowd of tourists and citizens will flock to the Cathedral to participate in the sunbeam ceremony. At noon, only an institutional city delegation, composed of representatives of the Gioco del Ponte, Regatta of the Maritime Republics, Palio di San Ranieri and other associations that have given life to the day, will be able to observe the passage of the sun from a window in the nave that illuminates the egg-shaped shelf on the pillar next to Giovanni Pisano's famous pulpit.
In the afternoon, armed crossbowmen and archers await you at Giardino Scotto, who will bring to life a setting related to their activities.
For dinner, the Pisan New Year's Eve Dinner awaits you in one of the city's restaurants, with typical dishes based on Pisan recipes, such as the typical local soup, chickpea flour cecina, arselle, stoccafisso alla pisana and many other goodies.
Return to the hotel and overnight stay.
