Day 1:
valid from June 12 to July 23, 2023
Arrival in Casciana Terme, a typical spa village in Tuscany, and accommodation in the hotel
Possibility of renting a bicycle (gravel)

Day 2:
The 50 km route (difference in altitude + 1100m) crosses the lavender fields (flowering period: June - July) around Santa Luce.

Start from Casciana Terme in direction South and turn immediately to Collemontanino which you will reach after a short and pedalable climb, in the village you will abandon the asphalted road to continue climbing for another three km until you reach about 500m of altitude to go down again in an off-road vehicle and returning to the asphalt for a short distance and reaching the fields of lavender in bloom (in the months of June and July) and the Lipu nature reserve of Lake Santa Luce that along whose banks you will cycle surrounded by Mediterranean scrub. You will leave the lake behind you going up to the town of Pastina, from which you can have a beautiful view of the lake and the Livorno Hills in the distance and in the direction of Pomaia you will leave the asphalt for a climb that will take you in just over 5km. it will lead you to reach the highest point (600mt.) of the tour, still three km downhill where you will resume the asphalt just outside the town of Chianni. If you haven't stopped for a coffee yet, Chianni is the right place before climbing again to reach Rivalto where from the belvedere the view sweeps from Volterra to the hills of the Terre di Pisa, to Monte Serra ... a few more kilometers, a little up and down and Casciana Terme is there again to welcome you.
