Program details

Have you ever heard of permaculture?

This experience will give you the opportunity to learn everything you need to know about the origins and philosophy of this agricultural technique!

It is a project whose goal is to achieve self-sustainability and resilience as well as promote natural farming techniques.

The San Donato farm in Bellaria, a historic home in Chianni adorned with vineyards, orchards and chestnut forests, will give an introductory lecture on permaculture, passing on their knowledge and expertise on the subject.

Here you can expect:
- the farm's vineyards, free of chemical treatments, which undergo studies using beneficial microorganisms and other totally sustainable and natural techniques;
- the Mandala Garden, a vegetable garden created with the "lasagna" layer technique and planted with ancient varieties of seasonal and perennial edible plants, within which neither chemicals nor fertilizers are used and which has the ultimate goal of providing plant food self-sufficiency while respecting biodiversity and naturalness;
- the Syntropic Garden, a reforestation of fruit trees, shrubs, berries and vegetables planted following the clearing of maritime pines

You will also have the opportunity to witness a practical demonstration of making food forest, bokashi and compost toilet, a device suitable for collecting and transforming human feces into compost that can be used as organic fertilizer through aerobic digestion.

The visit will last 1 hour and 30 minutes and will be conducted with a minimum of 5 participants.

This holistic and natural agricultural technique can truly change the world!
