A plunge into art!

Palazzo Giuli Rosselmini Gualandi, commonly known as Palazzo Blu because of its blue facade, is a historic building located in the center of Pisa, on the Lungarno Gambacorti, near the Lombard church of Santa Cristina.
Characterized by an architectural style typical of the late Renaissance period with decorative details and ornate windows, it gives the palace an elegant and distinctive appearance

Your experience will begin right at Palazzo Blu at 5 p.m., where our tour guide will be waiting for you, conveying to you all the passion and knowledge he possesses for the 1900s Avant-Garde, the protagonists of the exhibition.

The exhibition is an opportunity to admire some of the absolute landmarks of European art of the early decades of the 20th century, with an extraordinary sequence of paintings and sculptures from the collections of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Chagall, Dali, Duchamp, Kandinsky, Mirò, Picasso... also joined by works by Matisse, Mondrian, Klee, Ernst and Gris, artists who have never before been exhibited in the Pisa art palace.
Opening the exhibition is a self-portrait of Picasso as a 25-year-old, then the layout continues as an intense "time line" in which the works are accompanied by visual, sound and multimedia installations to place them in the sequence of historical and cultural events from the end of the "Belle Époque" to the outbreak of World War II.

Finally, the exhibition features a work of great symbolic value: the Crucifixion painted by Chagall in 1940.
